Disassembly and assembly of DC motor

Before dismantling, it is necessary to check the whole machine, be familiar with the relevant conditions of the whole machine, make relevant records, and fully prepare for the construction. The disassembly steps are as follows:

①Remove all wiring of the motor, and make a reset mark and record at the same time.

②Remove the end cover bolts of the commutator end and the bolts of the bearing cover, and take off the bearing outer cover.

③Open the ventilation window of the end cover, take out the brush from each brush holder, then remove the connecting wire connected to the brush rod, and make the reset mark of the brush and the connecting wire.

④Remove the end cover of the commutator end. When disassembling, first mark the reset mark at the junction of the end cover and the machine base, then place a wooden wedge on the edge of the end cover, and evenly tap the edge of the end cover with a hammer, so that the end cover mouth is slowly released from the machine base and bearing outer ring. Note the position of the brush holder, then remove the brush holder.

⑤ Wrap the commutator with thick kraft paper or cloth to keep it clean and prevent injury from collision.

⑥Remove the end cover screw on the extension end of the shaft, and carefully pull out or lift the armature together with the end cover from the stator. Avoid scratching the windings, iron cores and insulation during operation.

⑦Put the armature together with the end cap on the prepared wooden frame and wrap it with thick paper.

⑧ Remove the bearing cap screws at the shaft extension end, and take off the bearing outer cap and end cap. The bearing needs to be removed and replaced only when it is damaged, and should not be disassembled under normal circumstances.

The assembly steps of the motor are carried out in the reverse order of disassembly. During the operation, each part should be reset according to the reset mark and record; when assembling the brush holder and brush, it is necessary to be more careful.
